The artwork «Slow Foods» is an artistic duplex that merges two innovative concepts to create a sensory experience.
The first piece, «Slow Foods,» consists of a series of rigid and static wind sleeves suspended from the ceiling by transparent threads that simulate the movement of the wind. On the gallery floor, a variety of local fruits and vegetables are arranged.
The second piece, «Breath,» is an extractor fan that inhales the aroma from a box of fruits and vegetables. Connected to the fan is a line of metal ventilation tubes that encircle the gallery space, extending outside, carrying the air outdoors, into the city.
The interaction between these elements evokes a reflection on air quality and pollution in urban environments. The air extractor fan inhales the fresh aromas of the fruits and expels them onto the street, outside the gallery, creating an experience that challenges conventional perceptions and promotes the connection between art and urban reality.
This interaction between the gallery space and the external environment creates an unexpected experience that invites reflection on air quality and pollution in urban environments.
